Advice on .90 D Heart vs .24 Purple Pink Heart

Our four year anniversary was in June and I am happy with my new job ….well there is always a reason for a small upgrade.
I am considering trading up one of my stones with JA. I have a round .81 J that I don’t use at all, and since it was not super expensive, I can double the price and find something nice on JA. Since I already have my “holy grail” checkbox checked with my “blue unicorn” OEC, I am actually looking for something different in the range of 3,000 – 4,000 that would make it an interesting project for me - probably pendant stone.
I looked at their asschers, emerald cuts and at the end decided against them, since they would look nice in the ring setting only. I narrowed it down to pear and heart shape. I was actually surprised to find out that my eyes like heart cut (love James Allen videos) more than oval cut, (I visualize it in pendant, not ring). I also browsed their fancy colors selection and found a small purple-pink stone that I liked.
So I narrowed it down to two stones - .90 D/SI1 and .24 Fancy Purple Pink, contacted JA and asked if their gemologist would evaluate clarity of both and provide ASET of the .90 one. I should get my answer sometime next week. I am worried about lack of clarity on the GIA report of the pink one, and I hope that it does not mean that it was clarity enhanced.
I know that there is a big size difference between two, but what do you think would be a better choice in terms of beauty and uniqueness?
I know that hearts are not very popular on Pricescope, but I do like change and variety 

I like the heart shape - its unique!!

Looking at both- my personal preference would be the .91 D vs the .24 purple pink. I found the pink saturation seemed to fade as the diamond turned in the video - it was strong, it was light... it seemed inconsistent to me -- but I am NO FCD aficionado! If it were me, I'd take the colourless one and the heart shape itself is unique enough for me.

Good luck with your decision and hope the JA info helps you to decide!

Enerchi,
I never thought that I’ll like it! I never clicked on the heart icon on JA site before :). I had my heart set on pear for a pendant (it might still happen), but I think that the .90 cut is great. It has tiny table and is fairly deep, so I can expect to see fire coming out of it. And it's a D! I do tend to upgrade towards the better color/clarity rather than size.
I actually find the color of the fancy - very saturated and even (but I’m not an expert). It's the clarity that bothers me ...and the small size. I wish I could see them side by side.
I have never seen a heart shaped diamond in a real life in any color. I also have never seen a fancy pink diamond before. So it should be a fun experience (if everything checks out to be normal).
Maybe some fancy cut experts will read this topic and respond...

I like the d its chubby and looks like a good cut!

I like the shape of the purple better… and who can say no to a fancy colored diamond?

Well- I love hearts and I think they make beautiful pendants!! Ok- first the D diamond- although I think it's pretty, I'd personally prefer one a little less fat for a pendant. somehow I think a longer slightly narrower would work better, but if you like chubby hearts go for it!!

The purple pink is a pretty little diamond- but it is little. I wouldn't necessarily be too concerned about the GIA report being only for color-lots of smaller FCDs have color only reports. With many of the newer Argyle diamonds coming out with I1s and still commanding premium dollars- unless there is something major I wouldn't be too concerned. It looks pretty clean on the video and they should be able to give you an estimate on clarity. The GIA reports the color as being even-so if the color is fading in and out with the video it could be their lighting. What you might want to ask about is fluorescence. I've seen pink diamonds with strong blue fluor lose all their pink color in sunlight- alternatively strong blue can sometimes make them shoot beautiful purple sparks in sunlight so it's very individual for each pink FCD. One thing you didn't mention is how you might want to set the diamond in the pendant. If you purchase the pink diamond will you be putting a white diamond halo around it? I don't know what color your skin is, but unless I put bright whites around a pink diamond-they fade into my skin. Pink diamonds are just a tad trickier to set-needing rose gold around them to bring out the color (unless you go to fancy intense pink), but then bright white diamonds in white gold around them for contrast-lol. I find that works especially well in a pendant.

I LOVE the D but the pink is really cool!

I vote for the 0.90ct D, love the shape!

White diamond for me!

I vote for the white heart diamond. The other one is very unique but I'd go for the larger stone. I like heart shapes. :appl:

Oh, I adore hearts (my favorite shape) and I like both the ones you've chosen. I would pick the pink FCD heart and I would set it in rose gold. The D is really pretty too but FCDs are special :praise:

So, did you buy the purple/pink heart??

I like them both and would do a by-pass ring :lickout:

However if you can't swing both then I would go for the D. While I love the pink I think it will be underwhelming in RL.

I'd do the .9 in a not-delicate rose gold bezel. Mmmmm...
