Advice Needed on Hearts Picture

Hi, I just found this E/VVS2 diamond.

It looks pretty, but if you look at the Hearts image, you will find a number of inclusions.
I also looked at some other VVS2/VS1 or even VS2 stones, and hardly find any inclusions in their Hearts images.

My question is whether I should bypass this stone because of that. For your reference, I have attached the ASET and IS images as well.

Hi alumnus and welcome!

It looks like a great diamond and it is highly unlikely you would ever see those inclusions at that level of clarity, check with WF so you get it straight from the source from someone who can inspect the diamond for you. Whiteflash will be glad to discuss the diamond with you and alleviate any concerns you might have. Also this might help put things into perspective for you, I am not sure what size this diamond is, but just for reference a 1 carat diamond will be around the size of a pencil eraser, so you can see from this how greatly these photos are magnified.

just to add to what Lorelei said... the thing about hearts is that, for them to just show up, six facets have to be in perfect alignment... and then light bounces around a bunch of times within the diamond. so a tiny, tiny inclusion in a particularly ''bad'' spot can show up in several different places in the hearts image... even though, like this one, you have *no chance* of seeing it in real life (and i mean even with a 10x loupe, since it''s vvs2).

the only reason i''d pass over an E/VVS2 ACA is that I think VVS2 is a smidge overkill, and i''d rather put my $$ into a different C. otherwise, it looks like a fantastic diamond...
