Hi all,
planning to get my engagement ring and I have a choice of these 3 diamonds that fit my budget
0.53 F VS2 - $2950
0.58 G VS1 - $3200
0.59 E VS2 - $3400
intend for the setting to be a simple 4 prong ring

not sure if i am reading the scopes correct. i actually like the scopes for the 0.53 ones, just concern of the dark patch for the ASET scope for arrow at 7oclock. overall im more incline towards the 0.59 E VS2. would love you hear your thoughts.

This is an international board - people are not always awake to reply in four hours ;-)

Are these from Jann Paul?

I prefer the .58 G VS1-5.37 - 5.40 x 3.32. I like the small table. If color is a priority, I'd go with the third option, 0.59 E VS2. It give you more spread in mm and nice angles.

I want to like the G VS1 because of the small 55 table and high 35 crown, as those will produce lots of fire. That said, I also think it has the worst hearts image of the group.

For that reason I'd likely choose the E VS2 with the 34.5/40.8 angle combo. :kiss2: The hearts image isn't perfect either but doesn't have all the rips in the clefts at least.

If by chance you can open up the choices, here are some super ideal options:

0.61ct D VS2 - $3,258 wire - 56.8/61.2/34.3/40.8

0.64ct E VS2 - $3,249 wire - 56.7/61.3/34.3/40.7

0.64ct F VS1- $3,259 wire - 55.8/61.4/34.5/40.7

0.64ct F VS1 - $2,981 wire - 57/61.2/34.5/40.8

0.62ct G VS2 - $2,772 wire - 55.9/61.7/34.3/40.8

thanks all for the replys. yes i was comparing all the 3 types of scopes and also favourered the 0.59. even thou the 3'oclock heart is smaller then the rest. would like the ask the ASET scope for the 0.59 vs 0.58. the ring in the centre, im seeing more lighter shades of red from the .59 compared to the .58 is it something i shld worry about causing more light to leak out?

thank you all also for posting alternatives online. unfortunately i wont be so comfortable with online purchases. but thank you all for taking the time to source them out. i have taken a look at the links and compared them against the scopes i posted and am learning more on what to lookout for

No need to worry about red or green in the center of the ASET. If the pavilion angle is more than 40.76 the center will be red, less than 40.76 it will be green.

Hi yes thanks, sorry i was referring to the small irregular shapes of lighter red tone between the inner arrows here. i have circled them. between the .59 and .58 the .58 has lesser lighter-red shards. will there be a major impact and difference causing the "bling" of the diamond or are these negligable? thanks.

No impact on the performance of the stone. Both of those are great ASETs.

Hi, I’m most likely going with the 0.59. Will be heading down to the store later to see in person the difference between the 0.58 and 0.59. Also will check with the store to see the inclusions under magnification.
