Advice need resizing patterned band

Only I could go and do this!
I checked my fiancé’s finger size by messing around with a sizer, and his ring finger was a UK W. I’ve bought this ring, but it goes on OK, but is too tight behind as he has quite fleshy fingers, and he feels he cannot bend the finger!
How easy will this be to resize? I realise it has a continuous pattern around that may be compromised, but this is like an engagement rather than wedding ring. Thanks

a jeweler could add a sizing bar to it, it'll break up the pattern but that part could be worn on the bottom and give room for future sizing up/down as needed

if it's possible to exchange, that's better, but if not you could do something like this
