I am brand new to this site and would appreciate help deciding between 3 round diamonds for an engagement ring. I could really use some help from people that have more knowledge than I do in the area of purchasing diamonds. I am still in graduate school so being cost effective is important but all of these three could potentially be in my price range.
1. The first is a 1.2 ct. G, VS1, that measures 6.76-6.71-4.2 mm. It has a total depth of 62.4%, total width of 58%, crown height of 14%, pavilion depth of 43% and is slightly thick with excellent polish and excellent symmetry and no cutlet or fluorescence. This diamond is the most expensive of the 3 to choose from.
2. The second is 1.3 ct. H, VS2, that measures 7.01-6.97-4.38 mm. The depth is 62.7% the width is 58%, crown height 15% and pavilion depth of 44% with a medium girdle. Polish is very good and the symmetry is excellent no cutlet and very slight blue fluorescence. This diamond is the middle priced diamond and is $400 less than #1.
3. The third is a 1.2 ct. H, VS2, that measures 6.71-6.67-4.2 mm. It has a total depth of 62.8%, total width of 57%, crown height of 15%, pavilion depth of 43% and is medium girdle thickness with very good polish and very good symmetry and no cutlet or fluorescence. This diamond is $1,000 less than #1 and $600 less than #2.
Thanks in advance for any and all advice. I really appreciate it.
