Additional pics on 4.59 OEC - does this help?

Hi all! If you remember from my last post I requested more pics of the 4.59 OEC...natural light straight on etc. (Dreamer's orders).

I will say that the color looks much better in this round of photos. However, it also looks like they were taken inside with a light shining down on the diamond. Regardless I still really like it and as long as the return period is good I would take a look at it first hand.

I think you have gone as far as you can with still photos. The faceting looks promising. The center facets are very large, and you will need to see it in person to know whether they are lively enough. With such large main facets and the larger table it has, there is the possibility that the center will be lazy -- with 2 -3 main under-table facets turning on and off together, instead of each going on and off independently. I would feel better about the cut if the diamond has slightly different proportions. I think a slightly smaller table or slightly longer lower halves (creating arrows like in my stone) would be a more sure bet about its optics. But, all that said, I don't see any sure fire "NO" signs in those images. In fact, they look very promising to me. It still seems to have potential and is worth seeing assuming there is not a significant cost to seeing the stone?

I forgot to mention that they sent a short video as well. Dreamer, do you think that would help in this?

There is no penalty for seeing it except for knowing that it would cost the jeweler something to get it there and back. I guess I am just really sensitive about putting people out financially!
