This is a spinel from Barry that I have been looking at for a couple of months now. I was attracted to the softness and the light pink color. .75ct, 5.9x5.0mm oval cut spinel...

Mochi, how is it that all your stones glow so beautifully when you photograph them?

It''s a gorgeous stone.

Mochi,
Do you detect any blue tones in that pink? Your camera is picking up a couple unusual blue areas in the pink. I''ve heard of only 1 other pink spinel that does this.

Wow Mochi! How is it that all your stones glow when you photograph them. I''m begining to think you must live in a nuclear weapons silo.

It''s gorgeous. And hey, you know what they say, "size isn''t important". That is just going to be a little sparkler on your finger. Set it in a ring for your pinky and it will look bigger!

It''s funny, If I put my hand behind the stone, it brings out the glowyness (I''m pretty sure this is not a word).

Hello Chrono...

It looks more lavenderish, I think. Is that bad? It does glow...

No, not bad at all. Lavender is good and fine. I was actually hoping it really had a blue colour that "moved" within the spinel. It would be a very unusual characteristic and something worth keeping as a collection stone.

I asked Barry about that stone a long time ago. I asked him if it glowed and if it had blue in it. He never got back to me (I think my email must have been gobbled up because he ALWAYS gets back to me). Well it looks like I was right about the stone. Enjoy, it''s lovely!

I love the unusual color play that I am seeing on my monitor! It looks like it "flouresces" a bit. Does it have flouresence?

She whispers sweet nothings into their cullets.

They feel like they are her one and only stone.

Mochi, you have so many gorgeous stones, I can''t keep up!

Gailey...I live near a nuclear power plant, maybe it''s radio active. hehe!!

I heard that size isn''t important,.... but, darn it, sometimes it is.
