I''m about to pull the trigger on this diamond tonight and was wondering what everyone thought. Any quick advice will be much appreciated about this diamond.

1.01ct. Princess Diamond
Cash Price: $3,741.96
Credit Card Price: $3,828.02

Carat Weight: 1.01
Polish: EX
Color: F
Girdle: TK
Clarity: SI1
Culet: N
Depth: 73.9
Fluorescence: N
Table: 70
Symmetry: VG
Certificate: GIA
Cut Grade: Ideal/Excellent
Measurements: 5.46x5.45x4.00

I''m trying to get the most bang for my buck. My only real complaint is that the girdle is thick. But i dont think that should be a deal breaker.

It is not possible to make a final selection on princess by just the numbers, you need photos and ASET images or be able to view it in person. The numbers can eliminate stones, but shouldn't be the basis for selection.

That said, there are no red flags in these numbers that would cause me to reject it. I don't mind a thicker girdle on princess because it helps to prevent chipping of the corners.

Thanks for the reply.

I tried to copy the image the website gave that showed where the flaws were, but i couldn''t get it to cooperate. I guess i''ll take it to a third party when i get it and let them inspect it.

Yup - a good independent appraisal will tell you everything you want to know.

We couldn''t tell much from the plot anyways. Be sure to ask the appraiser to asses cut quality for you!
