I want to spend $5k on diamond and setting for e-ring. I am willing to spend up to $6k if there is a very good reason.
I am looking for a round H, 0.90, SI1. It will go with a tiffany-like setting.

Here's what I'm about to buy...

JA said it was eye clean. They don't have images on hand.

Tell me why I shouldn't buy this diamond. Feel free to show me a better one in my price range.

These are also tempting me, but are they worth the significant increase in price?

Thanks a lot!

Those inclusions are a bit nasty. I wonder if you might be able to see them if you knew where to look. Where is the cavity located?

There's a lot of feathering along the left side of that diamond but it could be obscured by a prong. I think I prefer the second stone over the first. The second stone is also better cut.

I like the idea of a really well cut .87 for $5.3k, but that's a perfect diamond for $6.7k.

Decisions...

I've reserved this one...

I will sleep on it and purchase it tomorrow.

Thanks for the recommendation!

Excellent choice! I know there's differing opinions on this site regarding the importance of size vs clarity, but I would choose a diamond that is one color grade higher, two clarity grades higher (and much cleaner), and $200 cheaper any day, even if it is .04 carats smaller (Which will hardly be perceptible).

Post pictures of the completed ring!
