Hi everyone, i''ve been a longtime lurker and found everyones advice super helpful buying diamond studs before. I''m now looking at a e-rings and think i''ve found the one. Here are the specs:

Carat wt: 2.22 H VS1
AGS cert
. Depth %: 60.8
. Table %: 57.4
. Crown Angle: 34.8
. Crown %: 14.9
. Star : 54
. Pavilion Angle: 40.7
. Pavilion %: 43
. Lower Girdle %: 77
. Girdle: Thin to Medium Faceted
. Measurements: 8.43-8.47X5.14
. Light Performance: 0
. Polish: Ideal
. Symmetry: Ideal
. Culet: Pointed
. Fluorescence: Negligible

The only thing bothering me is that its an H color. To my untrained eye the pictures look fine... But in person will a H color stone of this size not look so good??? The stone fits within my budget, and even a bit bigger than planned. So i''m wondering if i should go a bit higher in color(G or maybe F) and find something smaller...perhaps closer to 2.0 carats. I feel like i may be overthinking this so any and all opinions are welcome! I''ll try to post some pictures! Thanks!

Numbers look great

The price jumps between colours become significant at this size - I''m thinking it would be hard to find a 2ct F or even G for the same price as a 2.2 H.

I don''t think a casual observer would see anything but WHITE and SPARKLE. The tint may be noticeable on close inspection from the side, since you have a larger stone, but once it''s set I don''t think you''ll notice anything - H is generally considered a nice safe colour.

Good luck!

Ditto yssie.

Use the diamond prices search above to see what online dealers would charge for a 2ct F or G and then decide. I think H is a great color and will be very white, but it is you that must be comfortable with the purchase.

I have looked at a D and an I, 3 ct and the color difference was barely noticeable to my eye. Also setting comes into play - e.g. bezel white gold might make it more noticeable. You HAVE to be comfortable with it, so do what you need to for you to feel at ease. Good luck!

Sounds like a real beauty. I think H in an ideal cut will be fine.
