First off..I assume you mean .81c and not .08c right?
Second, what type of stone is this? A fancy by the looks of it.
Run it through the DIY Cut Grading tool at www.gemappraisers.com to get more information. If it scores 1A, 1B, 2A or 2B..it should be good, I would stay away from anything with 3 or 4 rating.
Oh, yes, sorry. It is a 0.81 carate emerald cut (getting so nervous I can't even type now.
The diamond rates as a 2B on gemappraiser.com. My only concern is that the GIA report had a rating of 1A on the table size, the sarin gives a rating of 2B. Also, the crown height on the sarin is a 3A.
Girdle thickness, total depth %, and polish/symmetry were all rated as a 1A.
So, nothing here that anyone feels I should be alarmed about?
The table on the GIA was 63%. On the sarin, it's 66.7%.
I'm a little nervous that this was being sold through whiteflash as an "ideal cut." Looking at these numbers, it looks like a very nice cut, but I don't think it qualifies as an ideal.
The price is $2874. I'm comfortable with the price and the cut IF it seems like a reasonable cost. If I'm paying for an ideal cut and getting less, I'm not as comfortable.
Any opinions?
