A worthy upgrade?

I purchased this 1.9ct diamond for an engagement ring and I'm thinking upgrading when the price is right:

This 2.1ct gives me a 7% increase in face-up size for a 6% increase in price, despite bumping over the 2.0 per-carat price threshold (and 2.1 threshold, for that matter):

The HCA shows Ex-Ex-VG-VG, which is not quite the same as the Ex-Ex-Ex-VG I have currently. Negligible?

The existing diamond shows warmer than I expected (when I compared to a GIA standard set it looked closer to an I than an H), and I'd not to go warmer - an improvement in color would be a nice benefit.

Would it be a challenge to fit the new diamond into the existing ring/setting? I didn't get it at WF. The diameter is about 3% larger, which doesn't sound like much to me but maybe that's actually a huge difference?

Are there other things that I should know about upgrading?

Most settings can be tweaked a little to fit a slightly smaller or slightly bigger stone but without knowing what your setting looks like it would be hard
to say. Can you ask the jeweler you bought it from if it would fit the bigger stone? Ask WF if they can remove your old stone and put your new one
in (they may not be able to because they didnt sell you the setting...but doesnt hurt to ask). They would probably need pictures of the setting.

Here is a relative size difference between the 2 stones on a size 6 1/2 finger

Hi @miraj ! For what is worth, I recently went through a very similar upgrade from 1.83 to 2.13 and for me it was totally worth it! I would not look too much into HCA when we are considering super ideal stones. If we look at the details, I actually prefer the smaller table and the slightly steeper pavilion angle of the 2.1ct stones. I don't think that your exiting setting will be able to accommodate the new stone. If it is a simple solitaire, they can probably just replace the head.
