So does anyone look down ant their eternity ring and think that it looks small but then see it reflected in the mirror and think that it looks OK?

I know that I have DDS where my eternity band is concerned but does anyone one else have this problem??

I do this with my engagement ring after a shop recommended it. They had a full length mirror like what you might expect to find in a clothing store and when trying on ring asked you to walk by the mirror or look at yourself in the mirror. My ring is definitely larger on my mirror self than when I look down at my hand.

My solitaire looks much bigger in mirror. It even looks bigger on DH's finger. Something to do with angle and distances perhaps?

 Everything about me looks bigger when I walk past a full legnth mirror.

Touché!

But, seriously... I have noticed this as well!! I'll look down and think, "...dang, my ring looks small," then I'll catch a glimpse in a mirror and be happy again.

Also, has anyone noticed that fine detail (such as micro pave work) will appear extremely precise and very focused in a mirror? It's the easiest way to take a photo of jewelry, IMO! Wonder why??

The big question is... What do others see? (I hope it's the "mirror version"!!!) ;))

The mirror always puts on 10 lbs so it probably adds 10 cts.

OK AprilBaby I laughed out loud. I don't know if that would be a good thing or not. Like I said I am CRAVING it to be bigger and I would have to attach a mirror to myself somehow to try to live in that reality.

I am really glad that it wasn't my imagination or I was seeing thing when this happened to me.

Ugh, I was thinking the same thing! :knockout:

This is so funny and the timing is perfect! I walked out of my bedroom earlier today and saw my hand's reflection in the mirror. I also thought my ring looked big but when I looked down at my hand it looked "normal" again. I also wonder if other people see us as we see ourselves in the mirror or still different altogether... Similar to how I look in photos (yuck) does NOT look like how I look in mirrors (cute, depending on my outfit) - in my mind at least.
