They have to go back in time to cut them, and those time machines are getting really expensive with all those pesky new OSHA requirements to return the entire human being to the present in only one piece that still works.

The ACAs (A Cut Above) diamonds are special because all of the diamond-cutting equipment has to hover above the floor.

True Hearts are unique because they all had to pass exhaustive lie-detector screening.

Octavias are rare and extraordinary because it was so difficult to train that octopus to cut them.
