Hello ladies (and gents!?!)
We have managed to gather a few non pro pictures from guests so I will post some here for you all since I know how much you all love to look at wedding photos. I know I love browsing through many beautiful wedding photos.
Our wedding was on Wednesday August 26th. We got back from our amazing mini honeymoon to Paris today to find two albums on facebook containing photos. They are not all great so you have been warned.
There were a few issues on the day that have annoyed me and that I think have compromised the quality of the photos. My dress was not laced nearly as tightly as it should have been. We never got a "dress rehearsal" (pun intended) so my por mother, maid of honour and sister in law were dressing me blind. Plus, we were running very late dur to the makeup lady taking a lot longer than planned so they were rushed and shoved me in the dress as best they could. I think it showsup in some photos just how loose it was...it has that horrid "standing off the chest" effect that I have always hated and some baggyness rond the bodice. Luckily my cousin's wife tightened me up sufficiently later but the thing is, that we only had a professional photographer for the ceremony, some after shots and the start of the reception so badly fitting dress is going to show up on all the pro pics! GAH!
My hairdresser left a curl tuft on the right side of my head instead of pinning it down. At the time I barely noticed but on all the photos it is sticking out of the back of my head. GREAT!
I am already very conscious of my size so wanted to look the absolute best I could, which I don't think I acheived given these mishaps.
Also, the cake wasn't arranged properly by staff. They were supposed to take the cake off the silver board and place the top layer directly on top of the bottom layer, but they didn't...which cheapens the whole look of our "cheap enough to begin with" cake!
We got rained on all day (lucky apparently) so my hair and makeup were ruined very quickly.
That being said, nothing spoiled our day. It was wonderful.
So here we go. These photos are in no particular order so forgive the jumping around.
Starting with my boilogical father walking me down the aisle. I was terrified at this point and was holding back tears that almost flooded as soon as they opened the doors and I heard our music playing! My younger bridesmaids went in ahead of me but you can see my maid of honour behind me here.
