My sweetiepie of a husband bought me a little tripod for the camera, so I''ve taken pictures of some of my treasures. I thought you guys might like to take a look.
glitterata,
Oh yay we get to see your treasures. I am in love with the tsavorite ring. Yummy color and the one from ebay does look like aquamarines. Show us more please!!!!!
Thanks, Kaleigh! Here''s another Victorian opal ring, this one from my grandmother. I inherited my love for jewelry, especially Victorian jewelry, from her.
Here''s the gray spinel I recently bought, along with a new red one, sitting in a setting I''m planning to use for something--not sure what yet. But it''s very useful for holding gems I''m photographing.
Here''s the same setting, with two zircons in it. I bought one first, then thought I''d get a lighter one for contrast. But I don''t think they''re different enough. Now I think instead I''ll get a matched pair, unless I end up using the setting for somehting else, such as that gray spinel and something else.
glitterata,
i love your collection...thanks for sharing it
i was captivated by your last pic with the opals and moonstone, those are two of my favorites. upon closer inspection, i have a ring that is exactly like the one with the two round opals in it, except that mine has a moonstone and a ruby. the setting is the exact same though....i wonder how common it was?
Thanks, Belle. I think that bypass style was pretty popular about a hundred years ago. I would love to see a picture of your ruby and moonstone ring. I adore moonstones.
