I know that when gold gets scratched it can be polished with very little effort by your jeweller. However, I was just wondering with all the talk here about jewellery that at this time of year our hands get dry with the weather, central heating, do you all use handcream to keep them soft. Can gold say 18k gold be scratched just from rough hands or would skin be lower on the mohs scale or something?
