A plethora of padparadscha

So I don’t quite know how this happened but I seem to have accumulated more pads.

I wanted to add a couple to my rainbow sapphire bracelet but I got over enthusiastic. And possibly shouldn’t insta shop after wine.

Shall I just throw them all in with the bracelet, or should I take the small oval and pear and make a pendant, or should I do a cluster ring / or pendant to go with the earrings.

I have got to stop this obsession!

I love the earrings! Personally, I'd go for a ring, so I could enjoy looking at them. You really can't go wrong either way.

I don’t wear pendants very often to be honest. But I do like having “sets” that match. I think I will maybe just make a pendant out of two stones and put the other two in the bracelet.

Otherwise I just know I’m going to start collecting more for a set of dangle earrings - which is what I originally thought of doing with the first lot.

I really just cannot resist a pad. I think I need pad rehab!

If I may, where did you purchase the pads from and who designed your earrings?

I buy from a couple of Sri Lankan sellers on IG. My local jeweller has a daughter who is a designer. She designs and his bench makes them up for me. I love her work.

Just need to get the bench to add a “rats tail” to the back of your studs so that you can slide the detachable earrings on when you want higher bling factor on your ears.

So I’ve decided to go with earrings and a bangle. To match this ring.



CADs below. I’m popping into the jewellers with my new diamond studs however to discuss whether it might actually be better to get the pads made into detachable dangles as @icy_jade cleverly suggested.

Its clearly inconceivable that anyone should not have a pad ring to match every metal colour. My existing ones are all white gold and I was getting most upset that I couldn’t wear my pads when I wore my yellow gold watch and wedding set.
So I did this.

Absolutely gorgeous ring, and the setting is incredible. Would you mind sharing the size/ct weight of the sapphire? Really struggling to find one in a similar size and shade.

Sure! The pad in the ring is 2.55ct, 8.86mm x 7.06mm x 4.69mm, unheated “orangey pink” from Madagascar. It’s locally certified from Sri Lanka but I have all the unheated stones I buy cross-verified by IGI in Dubai. Maybe as it isn’t From Ceylon is shouldn’t technically be called a pad - perhaps that’s why the price was reasonable.
