A new star sapphire ring

Today I finally got around to making a ring from a star sapphire that I bought a few months ago. I took some photos as the project went along.
It is sterling and the sapphire is 1.44 ct.

Thanks! I have a small stash of loose stones that are languishing on my work bench.
I need to get busy with them. I'll probably do more tomorrow.

No, this is one that I bought from a gem collector liquidating his collection. This stone is the one that is upper right.

It looks terrific! I love how the sapphire seems to blend seamlessly into the silver. Really nice job! So cool to be able to make your own rings.
