A co-worker has a big diamond that has no dark spots but just seems to reflect white. Even under spotlight it is mostly white with little fire. Would this be an over shallow diamond?

Very good question! I am curious as well.

The short answer is yes, compared to the usual PS parameters. Diamonds that are closer to 60-60 reflect more white light. I’ll let the cut experts reply in more detail.

My stepmother's DVVS ideal cut from GOG is what I'd call 'ultra white'. I kind of glows with whiteness. I think it's really hard to tell unless you spend extended time up close and personal. Just look at real life perspective thread.

Hi Maggie,

Possibly, difficult to say for sure though.
