That's too kind of you to say... I almost listed him under "most worn around the house." I also have far more unset than set, so I understand your hesitancy. Also, my paraiba is my oldest gem, but it wasn't set first. Full disclosure. Anyway, here are the updated questions to include loose stone/specimen collections (hopefully OP doesn't mind)!

Most of my stuff are loose stone too i need to pack them together so in case there is a need for emergency exit, I can grab all my stuff easily

We had a tornado warning not too long ago... I mean New England isn't exactly the plains, so it was probably an EF0. Nevertheless, I have everything packed in one case, and it was the only thing I brought into the basement with me. The family members were on their own.

Probably my golden star rutile necklace! Although I haven’t weighed it, and it may actually just face up larger than some similar sized cabs I have.

Of course it’s gotta be the jedi spinel! I also love the color of my benitoites and vayrynenite though.

The plat/diamond necklace that Nebo wears! I never really wore it, it’s too delicate for me and not my style, but it looks wonderful on him!

I sort of get it, especially with the love of rings, but it’s still a totally wearable gem and I am mildly offended I don’t see any of them on here

Bought this one pre-loved as a finished piece. Tried it out on my finger just to see. Concluded it was too big for a ring.

My holy grail and most recent acquisition, 1,26ct., 6,00x4,96mm, Ceylon untreated blue sapphire.
I love the colours of all my stones (wouldn't buy them otherwise) but this is the one I dreamed for and lusted after for forever.

Super dainty 3mm ruby necklace. I got this years ago. I was shopping with my husband for a graduation gift for his cousin and this was one of the pieces we saw. I really liked it and said I'd come back and get it once I receive my next payment. Couple days later hubby went back in secret, got it and gifted it to me. In his words, it's so rare for me to like something for myself and say I want something, that he had to take the opportunity.




Your most unusual gemstone (cut/color/shape/rare inclusions, etc.) or jewelry creation.
Has to be the hidden flame. This is a 2,09ct., 7x6,12mm heated blue sapphire of an unknown origin. The internal world of this one is fascinating - it has colour zoning with the transparent areas fluorescing orange, has some veils and spots, and two crystals (with frosted halos due to the heat treatment) which, in the opinion of one gemologist, are maybe tourmaline crystals. IYKYK.

The piece I wear the most is the pendant my husband designed and had made for my 30th birthday. I take it off when I want to wear something else, but otherwise it stays glued to me. The stone is something like half a carat loupe clean untreated emerald.

Blue sapphires. I just adore blue.
Spessartites come at a very close second and they fill me with joy.

This one, where all my rings are together. In the future I'll take a new photo to include the rings with the hidden flame and the holy grail that are yet to be made, but for now this photo shows all of the colours of each piece relatively accurately, and my camera often struggles with that, especially with the ruby.

I’m new to the world of gemstones. All of my purchases have been small and I’ve found that wearing them really brightens my day. I’ve definitely been bitten by the bug! Lol. I’m hopeful that more people will post their collections so I can admire all the pretties and get ideas!

My Little h earrings. Soufflé pearls encrusted with pink sapphires.

Sphene studs. They’re my perfect shade of yellow. The color is hard to capture because it changes depending on the lighting (which I think you can see in the photo). I wear the studs frequently and pair them with diamond earring jackets for special occasions.

Jade.

These are tiny studs that I like to wear with long pearl earring jackets.

Since ctw can vary um going based on the largest face up size, which is this (not so) little lady, one of my sapphires.

Probably my rubies. Though if I ever find a true chartreuse gemstone, that may bump these ladies out of first position.

I believe this zircon is the first gemstone ring I ever purchased myself and my first foray into eBay.... Or close to it.

I think this constitutes as a gemstone item since he's got little garnets in his bandana. I know he constitutes unusual.

Definitely this conversion. She's almost a daily driver for me.
