These rings were purchased at a store just outside of Bend Oregon. Right off the highway. If anyone know's the place I'm talking about, let me know. My mom used to shop there and said it was remarkably easy to miss as you cruised down the highway.
dberg, thank you for sharing, they are so lovely... I love them all! My birthstone is opal and i love them soooooo much! It is hard to find opals that have so much color and fire in them, and all of yours do and are so amazing! I constantly look at jewelry cases and compare my pretties to the blah ones in the cases. If you need any help wearing those beauties, let me know!
When i was younger i had many of the cheaper synthetic opals, but for my 16th birthday my mother gave me my grandmothers wedding ring which was 3 opals set side by side (truffle?). We took them to our jeweler and had them reset. A pair of half bezel set earrings and a bezel set ring, all yellow gold. Then for college graduation my parents gave me a lovely opal and diamond pendant, also yellow gold. I will try and remember to take some pictures to share with you!
And here are my earrings. Unfortunatly i left my ring at my parents house this past weekend, so pics of that will have to wait. But the opals are all the same color and the opal is set length-wise so it goes with the band, which is what i love most about it!
