Octagonal Amethyst, Michael E. light green tourmaline, *Obsidianite pear, blue zircon, light pink spinel cushion, spessarite garnet, and some beautiful fuschia pink spinels oval pairs. *Obsidianite is a stone that was made from the lava of Mt. St. Helens. It appears to be a real gemstone. I bought it at a Gem and Jewelry show years ago in my hometown. I didn''t pay that much for it. Most of the gems that I collect are inexpensive. The more expensive ones I would want to have set!! My wallet won''t let me!!

Thanks for sharing. I love all of them, especially the lighter stones.

The "obsidianite" (also known as Helenite) is actually a man -made stone, ostensibly made from the ASH from Mt St. Helens. It is a pretty stone but it is not natural. In any case, it is pretty and certainlyworth owning, if only for the uniqueness of the material.

The other stones in your collection are beautiful. Keep collecting!

Thanks for the info on the Obsidianite......I knew it was not technecology a gemstone... but, eh, for less than $10 bucks... it is fun to collect!

Hahaha, Dani, that's adorable!

Gorgeous stones, btw. And that beautiful teal pear (I can't remember what the stone is, I'll check in a second) is TDF!

ETA: I meant the Obsidianite

What a beautiful collection!!! I love the MtStH stone.. I remember the blow quite well as I was in HS when it happened.

YIKES! You must get yourself one these stones... if you don''t have one or two already!!
