Wow, those are gorgeous! I love the earrings with the emeralds, rubies, and pearls, and the ruby earrings with pearl drops, and--well, and all of them, really!
Where were they made? They don''t look like anything I see around here (New York).
Any chance you can post some ear shots and neck shots?
Thanks Glitterata! My family is from Bangladesh (though I was born and raised in the States) so we pick them up when we go back home. Though, New York actually has a lot of Indian/Bangladeshi jewelers in this area called Jackson Heights. The gold in Bangladesh is almost always a higher karat than here, but their gemstones are...just..well, not so great. They''re usually native cut and the color varies throughout a piece, so recently I''ve started buying and matching my gemstones in the States and then taking them over. Jewelry is kind of thought as an investment over there; so when people give each other gifts, they usually go for jewelery (esp. when babies are born and at weddings) because they think that it will last and be remembered.
I designed the ruby with pearl drops myself! Its actually a really simple design. The two that you picked out are actually my favorites! The earrings with cabs are a little bit busy, but when I wear them I usually wear it without a necklace or chain to tone it down.
Uhhhhhh, your phone is ringing and it''s ME needing to borrow your pieces! OH MY GOSH gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing....
Wow you have some of the most interesting and pretty pearl jewelry I''ve ever seen! You must just love wearing it! Rubies and pearls are mine and my FI''s birthstones. It''s nice to see them looking so great together!
