First up is a .65 carat pad sapphire from Master Cut Gems. He gave me a deal on it because he was tired of people offering $20 for it when it was listed for $120. It's a little too brownish to be *really* attractive but it's not a bad little stone all in all. It's a little silky too.

ETA: You can find his stuff at: Master Cut Gems.

This is a bit darker than it normally looks but the light was fading fast as I was taking pictures outside.

Another bit darkish one.

On my hand.

This is a .72 carat emerald cut sapphire (5x4mm). It''s a lovely, lovely shade of blue.

This makes it look way darker than it actually is.

Blue, blue blue

Kismet,
How do his photos compare to the stone IRL?

Last of little blue.

And, because I didn''t lowball him on the pad, he threw in this guy for free. It''s hard to tell from the picture (and kind of hard to tell in person too) but it has green edges and a pink stripe down the middle.

This is by the same cutter (Dana Reynolds) but purchased via Gemline. It's a 1.52ct green tourmaline. I have to say that my pictures don't do this stone justice really. It's a really lively, green stone.

A little further away.

Close up!

He calls this a pinwheel cut. It has a pretty high crown.

And Gemline threw in a free gem too. This is a .4 ct Nambian demantoid.

Looking darker than it actually is. It''s a fairly yellow-green demantoid.

Kismet,

He had one of the pad that was really lit up and that one wasn''t accurate but the other two on his website in more normal lighting were pretty accurate. The sapphire was pretty much spot on.
