So hopefully third time is the charm for me. I posted another thread looking for a cushion and received a beautiful 4 main cushion from JA but it just wasn't quite right. I wanted it to look larger (especially in the width) and I realized what I really wanted was the look of an 8 main cushion. Boyfriend and I decided to up our budget to get what I really want since he doesn't believe in upgrades. My front runner is an ERD A Cut Beyond cushion that is F VS2 1.05 ct. Depth is 66.5 and table is54.The spread is 6.05 x 6.16. The spread on my other one was 5.59 x 6.44. I've been working with Chris and he said the diamond is a phenomenal stone with great light performance. I've requested a video that should be posted later today on the site. I'll be the first to admit my knowledge is limited, and I'm not used to seeing ASET images with the cross so dark blue. I asked him about it and he said it isn't a problem and the diamond is anything but dark, and it's actually one of the best ASETs they've seen for a cushion. I asked about a couple of the other diamonds in the $6-7000 price range and he said they don't hold a candle to this one. I trust what he's saying but I just wanted to get everyone's opinion. Also, because I'm sure someone is going to suggest the AVC, I love the AVC but I can get a much better size, color and clarity by going with ERD and I've decided it's worth the trade off.
