A couple new rings

Happy New Year Everyone!!!
First is a 1.09 bluish purple unheated sapphire that changes to a very vivid purple indoors. It is super sparkly. (sorry for the fingerprints on it) I got it from Yvonne and she set it in her Edwardian setting with white gold and diamonds. I love how it turned out!

The second is a 0.57 OMC champagne diamond. I noticed fluorescence with it with my black light which is so neat! I have always wanted a coloured diamond. It is 0.57ct. It is a little fireball and throws off lots of sparkles. It has an inclusion in it but it does not bother me. The diamond is really old (1800's?) and the setting is newer, from the 1930's ish.

A few more including profile shots. I love the engravings on the Edwardian ring! It is cast like that and turned out really well.

Hi Ilovegemstones - they are both really pretty! I especially like the sapphire, I was eyeing that stone at Yvonne's for a long time. It looks great in that setting and the color change is very cool!!! I like the diamond worn with the stackers too.

Ooh I also love the color change in the sapphire, it's very pretty. I am not a huge diamond fan generally but I have a thing for "old" diamonds, lol - and I really like yours! Congrats on your new additions

I love that OMC. How wonderful to have a gem cut so long ago. Do let us know if it talks to you. Oh the things that gem must have seen!! The champagne color looks beautiful with the stack. Makes me think of a glamorous winter party. That sapphire looks fabulous in white gold and diamonds in both of it's color personalities! Such Rich saturated colors! Great aquisitions!!!

I often find myself wondering what setting the diamond was in before and what life was like back then! I didn't know I could love a diamond so much!

I absolutely love the antique stack! Are any of them from your family or have you bought them all & collected them? I have my Grandmothers original engagement ring from 1935 which is a platinum topped 18ct old cut daisy cluster. I gave the wedding band to my sister for her to use at her wedding & now my beautiful ring sits alone on my RH. I have often wondered about buying another couple of antique bands to stack with it, but my mum thinks this is weird as I wouldn't know their history & if they came from an unhappy life

Thank you so much Janny, Alex and Arkteia! I wish these had a special history related to me! I am just happy they are with me now. I like stacking the sapphire with the French cut band now! I tried the OMC with my demantoid garnet dragon stickpin conversion ring. He is calling it his precious!

After seeing Star Sparkle's star sapphire ring I kept looking at them and I found this one for a really good price I thought (300US). It is from the Victorian era, 4ct with diamonds and is 18k and platinum or white gold on the top. Sorry no full sun shots yet! I have named this ring "lyric" because that word keeps popping in my head when I look at it for some reason. The last pic is a vendour shot.
