Thinking about this honestly hasn''t crossed my mind.
Actually, I''m amazed that so many still have money for diamonds at all, considering the financial meltdown and the mess the economy is still in, and happy that I''m blessed to be able to buy extra things like jewelry.
I also think there are few on here who have the larger budgets and that most are in the category of ''under 1 carat" (which is by far the largest thread). As for the few who are able to spend, say $100k--I say kudos to them that they have big money, yet are still trying to get value for their dollar. I never think that you should waste at any budget.
