A brand new stone from Gary at Finewater Gems

A bit of a story - I already have a diamond mounting ring with 2 oval orange sapphires on the sides.
The quest is finding a stone that is somewhat a big square or a cushion to serve as a center stone of this ring.
I had asked Gary B. at Finewater to work with me on this little project and I''m very, very happy with the result.
As many had posted here before, Gary is such a nice gentleman to work with, very passionate about his work, and I would again highly, highly recommend him to everyone.
He had showed me several choices of stones so that I would have an idea of how it would play out with the orange sapphires, and finally, the winner is: Amethyst!!!

Stone Hunter, as for the sapphires, a friend of mine got them for me on her trip to Asia recently. They are, by no means, great cuts, but they''re clean and pretty sparkly. I got them, intended for a pair of dangling earrings, but then I found this ring which is a perfect setting for them, so that was it!!!
