I just checked out your link to the Master Cut Gems stone. I like it and it is a very unique cut. So if he doesn''t get a buyer he''ll recut the pavillion so it''s not so unique. To appeal to more people.
I''ve found Dana''s photos to be a bit darker than his stones IRL. Hope that helps!
Thank you all for taking the time to provide such useful inputs.
DT,
Like a few of these and will present them to my wife for review (though she just wants me to buy anything at this point
Stone Hunter,
I also found the stone unique but the deepness of the color is a concern. Will see if I can see if anyone has posted a comparision of his and their photos here....
LovingDiamonds,
WOW! Thanks so much for presenting so much information as well as your opinion on the stones I presented. As for the setting I think she would like to keep it simple to highlight the stone though that may change once we pick the gem. To date the setting vendors I have found on line are...
I plan on continuing the tale on how this all plays out and again want to thank everyone on this site as there is SOOOO much great and useful information here.
Another site you could check out is GemRite. I bought a gorgeous chrome green tsavorite from them a while ago. Here''s their selection of tsavorite. I think this cushion or this oval would make a nice pendant.
MultiC: Nice colour and I wouldn''t worry about the dark areas as I expect that to be facet shadowing. It does appear to have a good sized window though.
MCut: Looks rather darkish.
PI: Nice and bright. Could have better saturation though. Good contender.
ACS: Gorgeous cut but darkish and I don''t like yellow in my greens.
PG: Love the first (nice colour and good cut). Not crazy about the next two because the second is rather dark, whicle the third looks olive.
assuming they are available. Plan to ask Paraiba if they can supply another picture to determine if the color is more like the photo or the rotating image. If it is dark enough (like the photo) then that will be the stone for us.
After a nice and fast response from Adam of Paraiba stating their stone color was closer to the movie image we went with the PG stone. Look forward to seeing it in person and begining the next phase of this project.
