Assuming all other characteristics are acceptable, would a 63.3 depth percentage on a diamond be ok? In other words, is 63.3 in the "I would never buy" range or is it just simply an average type depth?

It depends

Does it have a very small table?
Are you happy to have a thick girdle?
lots of questions

The Table is 61%.....Depth % 63.3

6.26 X 6.32 X 3.99mm

Girdle on GIA report says Thin to Very Thick, Faceted

I didn't notice the girdle being thick when I looked at it as a novice.

it will not be a good buy from a cut perspective.
ask to see it through an ideal-scope - it will have poor light return I suspect.

Cutguy,

Which of the numbers I gave you led you to believe it's a poor cut? Was it the just the depth %? The reason I ask is so I know what to look for if I go searching for a different diamond. Thanks.

Look at some of the stones with known good HCA scores in "search by cut quality" off the front page.
See what their % look like - or save the hassle and buy one of those.
