Gypsy, I just checked back in, was hoping for great news. I''m sorry about John, I guess he wanted to test that whole "in sickness and in health" thing out right off the bat.
Whatever it is, I hope it goes away as quickly as possible. And I hope your wedding is everything you hoped it would be. I wish only the best for you and John on this very long awaited day.
I wanted to say this now before I got busy and forgot, we''re leaving town Thursday morning. So take care sweetie, relax, and enjoy this time, it''s finally here!
Just checking in super quick. I''m on codeine (yay cough syrup) at work after a few days working at home so I''m burried and despite wanting to very much, I can''t stay very long. I will check in tonight. I just spoke to John and he''s holding. Which is good news, I don''t know what I''d do if he got worse. Yes, he is taking ''sickness and health'' to heart. Love you all and will check in tonight. Thank you for all your support, kindness, dust and prayers. They mean the world to me.
Gypsy, the home stretch would be nothing without some major issues! Hope that you feel better (or at least that you feel terrible). Thinking of you, and I can not wait to see pictures of the wondrful celebration. And it WILL be incredible. Hang in there!
Um... at least John didn''t get sick until after the worst of the wedding planning? (ducks...) Ok, I''m really reaching for a silver lining here. Hugs to you both. We''re thinking of you!
Gosh, Gypsy, I can''t believe your wedding is here already! I am SO excited for you!
I am so sorry to hear about so many things are going wrong...I am sending you big hugs, lots of PS dust and tons of love that everything goes smoothly for you and John on Sunday.
You, my friend, are going to be a beautiful bride, which we all know, but if there is anything you need in the months to come, help with John, just need to get out and have a coffee, go shopping, whatever...say the word and I''m there. You are such a sweet, thoughtful person and I hate that you''re having to deal with so much right now.
Hang in there, and I hope your special day goes off without a hitch...you deserve the very best of weddings!
I''m so sorry to be MIA. Fever is back, sick as a dog. At work. Will update if I get to go home early (trying to). Promise. John was okay yesterday. His nephew is coming to town today, I think he''s happy and that''s helping.
AmberG''s Mom took Stalker Kitty, so we''re thrilled.
I am really trying to get last of my work done so I get get home and back in bed. Already passed out dizzy once at work today. Need to pickup my e-ring from jeweler after polishing, then go HOME.
OMG Gypsy, you poor little thing. I am SO Sorry. I do hope you get well fast. I am sending more healing prayers for you and John. Please keep us posted honey.
Hey Gypsy, we just got back and I was getting caught up when I saw this thread. I am so sorry to hear about your and John''s health. I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you guys and I hope you are doing better.
AND BTW..... I HOPE YOU AREN''T READING THIS AND YOU ARE IN BED RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!
just remember that, absolute worst, the excitement of the big day will probably give both of you a huge, energizing rush of adrenaline! with that said, by the power vested in PS DUST, I COMMAND YOU TO GET WELL, WOMAN!
Oh Gypsy, I''m only now reading through this thread. I''m so sorry that you''re going through all this right now. My thoughts and prayers are with you and John for a speedy recovery although I know from your post that it''ll be a while before John is 100%. Just hang in there a few more days and before you know it your wedding day will be here and you''ll be marrying your very best friend (((hugs)))
Finally napped and done with work (5 minutes ago). Our best man is due to arrive within the HOUR!
First, thank you so much EVERYONE for the healing vibes. I hope your thoughts and dust and good wishes plus the new antiboitic (on my second round, flunked first round) do some good. I am trying to stay positive and not stress. There are only three things remaining to do for the wedding: Pick up Tuxes, Print out placecards (still not done) and make or buy (leaning toward buy) the table numbers.
The house is almost clean, but not quite there so John and I have an hour to do that (we both took a four hour nap and are behind now) before BM gets here.
I promise to post pics. I really do love you all, I mean that. You are my family and my friends in so many ways, and I don''t think I could have gotten to this point without you. Thank you for your endless patience, your support, the kicks in the pants and the advice. ((HUGE HUGS)). I know our day will be lovely, even if I do pass out (lol), and that the most important thing is that we will be married.
Please take are of yourselves. And I will check in as I can. I''m not doing anything after the wedding except re-couping, then returning to work on Thursday, so you should have a pretty quick update.
Also Violet is attending our wedding, so she might have some input to give you all.
Thanks for checking in Layla. I am so glad you got a good nap, and that John is feeling better. Wishing you and John all the best on your wedding day, and much joy in the years to come.
Gypsy, you''re on the home stretch now! I''ll be thinking of you and John this weekend, and hoping that everything goes wonderfully well. I''m glad to hear that you''re going to spend a few days recuperating after the wedding, it sounds like you''re both in desperate need of some downtime! It''s so sweet of you to think of us and give us updates, but please just spend some time enjoying your new husband and your time off -- we''ll all be here when you get back (although maybe a leeeeetle blue in the face from waiting breathlessly for your photos
).
Sending dust, congratulations, warmest wishes, and a giant virtual hug across the country to you!
Thank you very much Lisa and Octavia. I''m starting to unwind and relax. I''m skipping a lot of family time activities and resting and just getting what I need to get done, done. That''s about it. I''m off to bed now. Good night all. ((HUGS))
Woohoo Gypsy-I''m so so so excited for you!!! Have an absolutely wonderful day and come back with photos soon. Keep calm in the build up and just remember how beautiful you are in your dress!
I'm feeling better! Fever seems to have broken. John's holding still, whew! Got the tuxes, table numbers, placecards (Thanks to Lady C for the DIY business card suggestion), photos for memory table all done and framed. I'm packed to go to my parent's house tomorrow night. And I just need to remember to get my skirt from the cleaners(forgot to pick it up today) in the morning to wear to the rehearsal. And tomorrow is the rehearsal and luncheon!
YAY!! Starting to get really excited. And nervous. Still haven't looked at my vows. MOH will help me with those tomorrow, and I'm gonna have to get them memorized (or at least partially so) before Sunday. That's it. Just the vows left. Some delegation of duties at the last minute. Some cat herding. But otherwise.... WE'RE READY.
YAY! I am admittedly, really looking forward to see it all come together and everything. I think the 'girls' have deflated a bit. I've been watching them. Here's hoping!
Okay... gotta get some sleep. Early morning tomorrow. Good night all!
Wishing you the best of luck, Gypsy, for a most beautiful wedding day. I hope that it is everything that you hoped it would be.
I can''t wait to hear about how happy you were and how wonderful it was.
I have butterflies in my tummy for you ...
