$85 engagemnet rings on sale in UK supermarkets

This story came out last week when I was away but I don''t think it''s been posted on here yet. Here in the UK, the supermarket chain Tesco has started selling diamond engagement rings ranging from £47 ($85) for a 0.10ct stone with 9K gold to £1,297 ($2335) for a 1ct stone with 18K gold.

Haven''t been able to take a look at one yet but I hate to think what the quality is like.

in North America, WalMart, Sam''s Club and Costco are already selling diamonds for a while. Walmart is indeed selling I clarity stones for the people who mostly price driven. You can find better quality stones in Costco with GIA reports.

Considering 30 days return policy, it might not be that bad after all as long as you know what you are buying.
