I am looking at a .70ct F VS2 round brilliant stone.
what would a reasonable price be for this stone?

The Jewelers retail is $5450.00
They "came down" to 3500.00 is this reasonable ?

Your diamond could be poor make or with not good proportions. I think this is a reason, why you got big discount.:))

:)) If you search on pricescope you will find that you can get an H&A AGS000 0.7 F VS2 for that price. Actually a bit cheaper ones can be found too. So they are just quoting you a price with a low margin.

Although if I were you, I would check the proportions. 0.7 is aweight at which there is a price increase (.68 or .69 carat sotne would be much cheaper (although you won't find one)) thus everyone tries to cut the stone such that it is just above .7 than just below .7

In other words, just make sure (get proportions and plug them in HCA) that diamond is not cut badly just to make it above .7
