hi everyone :))

I've attempted a search - but the search engine won't give anything up to me!

I'm wondering what the finger coverage would look like for a 7 stone band, with around 20 point stones - on a size 6 finger? Any pictures, and any settings would be much appreciated.

Here's a few pictures.... I think it would be a great size for everyday wear, plenty blingy and totally cover your finger.

Here's a 5 stone with 20 pointers on a size 7.5:

Here's a 7 stone with 10 pointers, no finger size given:

Here's a 7 stone with 7 pointers, still plenty of coverage:

Here's one with 30 pointers on a size 8 finger:

I have a 5 stone with 16 pointers (bar set so I would say visually the bars probably add another diamond size width-wise) and I have a size 5 finger and there is no side metal showing. Love it!

Thank you nfowife and yennyfire - those pictures are gorgeous!

Seeing yours Yennyfire, is about the closest in stone size that I was wondering about, and seems 7 @ 20 points would work beautifully on a half band ring.

Now, I just have to look around!

many many thanks :))

Glad that I could help! :) I think a 7 stone with .20 would be gorgeous on your hand. Can't wait to see it!

My ring is the one in second thread- seven stones, ten points each. I have a size 6 finger and those seven stones cover the top of my ring finger from one side to the other. I didn't want to feel the pinch of either stones or prongs between my fingers because I find that to be annoying. If you're a size 6 and you go with larger stones, you will likely feel them between your fingers. You should decide in advance if that would bother you. It's best to find some of these rings in stores so you can try them on before making your final decision.

hi gemgirl

I'm hearing you on the issue of stones rubbing - it would drive me batty! I have a ruby/diamond 7-stone which has stones of 3mm each (10 points) and the stones are set very close together, almost a fishtail look, but the stones are practically touching. It looks like, using that ring as a guide, that I could easily fit 2 more stones on my finger (ie: 6mm more) But, as everything to do with rings, it's not an exact science!

I think you are right, and the best thing to do would be to drop into a jewellers and try some different ones on. I want the stones right across, but not to be aware of them in normal wear.

Hmmm...maybe go back to considering a 5 stone - but that would be a heap more money! I'll go try some 7-stoners on.

thanks ladies :))

pwendyp ~ you probably already have an idea, here is my post on my 5 stone (before I had it re-made to an eternity). There is one photo on the (before), you will see what 5, 20 pointers look like. The 5 stone ring was originally made for my RHR (ring finger size 5.5), when I wore it on my left hand (ring finger is size 5), the ring kept spinning and spinning and drove me crazy.

7, 20 pointers on a size 6 finger will give you perfect coverage!
