6ct Oval by AV

:love::love::love::love::love:OMG!! THUD!!!

That was the sound of me fainting and hitting the floor!!

WOWZA!!:love::love::love::love::love::love:

Just coming back to add: I"M IN LOVE!!!:love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love:

Phoenix - I thought of you when I saw it yesterday. Perfect upgrade for you - something different and ideal light performance to boost at a conservative (for 6 ct ideal cut) price tag

I agree. I'm seriously thinking about it. But 1) I don't have that amount of cash right now to dispose of and 2) I'd have to 100000% sure I don't want a MRB anymore.

Hmm...I wonder if GOG would take Holly in as trade? But I'd still have to make sure I don't want a MRB. Bc more likely than not, I'd like a large EC later down the road...funds permitting of course.

I honestly don't understand why they did a modern oval. What is 'vintage' about that?

It’s sparkle and scintillation are beautiful. Personally though, I like a smooth edge on an oval.

From what I understand Jonathan plans to do a vintage oval later on. He calls these modern ovals his "Signature Ovals" or the "Opulence Oval." I know he wanted to do some of the modern fancies that notoriously have poor light performance and looks like he's starting with ovals. I believe there was talk of an ideal cut emerald and there was an asscher prototype as well. Fun things coming down the pipeline =)2.

Ok, I'm waiting for that one. A big honking 7ct+. That's it!! That's mah baby!!:clap::dance::clap::dance::clap::dance:

@Phoenix not sure of the dimensions but should be about 13x11mm! You could even put a halo on her and make her EXTREMELY blingy!

You nailed it lalala except a 13 x 11 would give a 1.18:1 ratio. Too stubby. It's 13 x 9.45 for a 1.38:1 ratio sweet spot.

:eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2:

I need this in my life.....just for like an hour or two.....or four.....or 6.....or 8....:cheeky::cheeky::cheeky::cheeky::cheeky:

This thread is hilarious!!!

Does anybody have photos of "vintage" vs. "modern" ovals? I really have no clue as to the difference.

It is drop dead gorgeous but TOO BIG for a size 4.25 finger imo. :love::love::love:
Curious about the extremely thick girdle as well.

Love that faceting. But the girdle is killing me. It’s so chunky and reminds me of an ice cube if i were to have a scotch on a (rather pretty and large) rock.

It's beautiful but I have to pass as it is "I" color. I would love to see this new cut in person. I like a faceted girdle. I wonder how it shows face up in terms of size compared to a excellent/ideal cut for a oval?

Greetings PS friends. Thanks for the kind words and comments. I'm really excited to introduce The Opulence Oval to the market and is the fulfillment of another dream of mine. Yea the girdle is a tad thick on this 6ct but it's actually very beautiful to look at as we've never seen a girdle so brilliant! It was the first comments from my son when he saw it too. The face up optics really have to be seen to be believed and when you see this in I or even J/K colors... well ... think of an ideal cut round. To those whom I've showed ovals over the decades alongside of an Ideal cut round the face up difference in optics as well as color absorption were two very notable aspects. The color absorption you see in ovals is non existent in this diamond. I'll be publishing a new vid on it today as well as two 1.5xct that just arrived from AGS.

There has been mention of an August Vintage Oval. Just for clarification I have conceptual models for a vintage oval I've been working on as well as other shapes I want to introduce to the AV line but that is a ways out. If you have any questions feel free to ask me here. I'll subscribe to this thread for updates.

Kindest regards,
Jonathan
