Hi everyone, I know we've seen these earrings before, but I wanted to say what an easy and enjoyable experiece it was working with Brian Gavin Diamonds. They were quick to respond to emails, friendly, and helpful at each step. Brian met with me for two hours for a little diamond education since I said I had the time; I found this pleasantly surprising since I know these little earrings are not a big ticket item for a jeweler. Also, they were able to ship overseas to my FPO/AP address.

Brian showed me a pair of H's and a pair of G's, and I found that I could definitely see a difference in the color (only in some lights) so I chose a pair of E's. I would have gone with F if I had seen a well matched pair, but I liked how this particular pair was matched in every aspect - color, carat, clarity, and dimensions. I know that no one would see the earrings side by side or look at the certificate, but I know! I chose the La Pousette backs because I thought they'd bug me less than the regular backs.

I'll post ear shots when they arrive, which may take a few weeks since it's an AP address.

By the way, these were a graduation gift - I defended my M.S. thesis and passed my oral exam :appl:

They are so beautiful! I love this type of setting. BE wary of the the La Pousette backs though, I have had them come apart on me a couple of times. Enjoy your earrings!

2nd!... the springs have failed in mine twice forcing me to buy new backs(twice). Over time, the springs in mine rusted. To be fair, I do wear them in the shower, pool, and anywhere else I go.

Congrats and wear in good health!

Thank you everyone for the congratulatory messages!

I appreciate the warnings on the backings. Question: Even if the spring fails, they still catch on the notches, right? So the setting would be noticeably loose and need fixing but would not just fall out of my ear?

Congratulations!!! The earrings are a wonderful item to remember the occasion! I love them and think I need some to go with my bezel pendant! :naughty:
