Hello all,

My husband and I were originally looking for a 5 stone band like the one in the picture. The engagement ring is my Tiffany solitaire and the band is the Tiffany 5 stone embrace we tried on. TCW is 1.2. each stone is .24 F-G VS. My husband spoke to Steven Kirsch and he gave us a quote for a 6 stone 1.38 CTW, each stone is .23 F-G VS. He told my husband the 6 stone sits better and will have better coverage etc.

I’ve never seen a 6 stone and I’m certainly not opposed. I’m just wondering if it will change the look much or if anyone has one I can see. I tried searching through past threads without much luck.

Thank you! BF2BE8D1-A31A-4F60-853B-4D3A1260CF33.jpeg

I have a six stone but it’s only a .75 tcw so not sure that a pic will help you. I think something that I struggled with was my bias that it was not an odd number. 3 or 5 or 7 or 9 for example seem like the norm So anything outside of the norm takes some adjusting to. Lol. But I’m your case, since the stones are bigger than mine, will the band cup and cover your finger to the extent that you won’t notice it’s only 6?

I think the point of the odd numbers is so one stone is “center”. With 6 the center will be between two other stones. I guess it’s just preference?

I would love to see it

This makes so much sense

The center being between two stones makes sense if you are mostly going to wear it with your engagement ring - with an odd number, when wearing with your engagement ring, it may slip off center so the head of your ring is resting between two stones (this happens with my eternity all the time - and you can see it happening in your picture) but with an even number, the head resting between two stones will be in the middle.

@nala gorgeous rings! How did you get such an amazing picture of your ering in your car? Lol I struggle with the lighting in my car for the perfect pic!

OP I love your rings too and Im a big fan of the Tiffany embrace band. My only question while looking at your finger coverage -will adding the extra stone feel comfortable? Will it bother you if it rubs your other fingers?

I am not sure to be honest. I need to go to a store and try on a 7 stone to get a reference

Ty! Simple really. These were taken with my iPhone 7. Look for shade but allow some sun to come in through the window. It’s really that simple!
