Very interesting. Thanks for posting. It seems like market volatility from things like religious persecution, border walls, and global trade is not such a new thing. They all played a part in the booms and busts of Jura!

Sure it is valeria101, especially when the material value becomes insignificant.
Just imagine the complexity of cutting a line of 0.10-0.05 Ct each Octavia's for an eternity ring...

On generic mass-produced Diamonds it's not the case anymore except in the ultra small production of rb's like the Chinese made 2,000 stones per carat examples.
