Hi there,

I have a dilemma, my ring size is 7.5 (a lot bigger than other PSers) and am trying to figure out which would look best. I've looked through many 5 stone ring threads but not many showing asscher cut diamonds and not many fingers in my size

I am thinking of a 5 stone asscher (~3.6mm) but worried that it would not give me enough finger coverage. The other option is a 7 stone asscher (~3.3mm).

Please help!

Thanks.

I vote for 7-stone for full finger coverage!

How are you going to set it? Channel, bezel, prongs etc? I always opt for the bigger stones but the size difference you stated is not that much so I would go for the 7 stone ring-more bling but a little harder to match.

Thank you for your input lorrissey and lambskin . :)

I really like the U prongs, I hope for something that would substantial enough to wear as a standalone band.

I agree the size difference isn't much and they roughly cost the same however I am worried that the 3.6mm won't give me the finger coverage that I want so the 7 stone would be better for me I think.

I actually had a 7 stone asscher band that was from Blue Nile (bought it second-hand and ended up reselling it, which I regret because it was beautiful, but at the time, I was saving up for a bigger solitaire.) I don't have pics on my laptop anymore, but I had some in one of my pre-loved forum threads that sold (note:this ring is sold, just linking to it for the pics): https://www.pricescope.com/forum/pr...le-asscher-diamond-band-platinum-t173412.html

Attaching one of the pics below that shows the size on my hand. It was a size 7, and I wear a size 7-8. I believe the stones were about 3mm each or around there. I vote for 7 stone! Hope this helps! ;))

Xiriah thank you so much for posting this! I am feeling so much better knowing this ring is just right on a fellow size 7'er. I actually got inspired by DandT on https://www.pricescope.com/communit...brate-7-years-my-7-stone-asscher-band.168022/ but she was only a size 4. So I thought the size difference would be too big. That's why I was looking at slightly bigger stones. But I feel so relieved knowing that a 7 stone would be just fine.

Thanks so much for your information and pictures! I can't wait to get one for myself now

I have a size 4.5 finger and had a custom 6 stone asscher band made that was perfect finger coverage for me. So a 7 stone would probably be perfect for you. It also depends on the stone size too. It's been a while now but I think mine totaled over 1 carat.

Thanks ElleElle, I am planning on getting a 7 stone 1.55ctw so roughly 0.22ct each or 3.3mm approx. I am getting more confident that this just might work! Thank you so much for your valuable input! I am getting so excited hehehe

You're welcome! :D Don't forget to come back and post pics when you get it!

My pleasure! Can't wait to see a pic of yours when it's done! If it helps at all my stones are F color, VS2 clarity. Step cuts like Asschers Sho more color so that's why my jeweler and I decided on F.
