I am looking buy an anniversary/wedding band. One of my top choice is a 5 stone style.

My e-ring is a 1 ct in a platinum solitaire setting similar to below. 10+ year ago, they didn't have the low-dome. So mine the prong is on top of the shank.

I am considering
Eternal Five Stone Diamond Ring in Platinum (1 ct. tw.)

it is 3050 USD. I like this setting, because it seems really secure and classic. The limitation of this options is that you cannot pick the diamonds. All they guarantee is the size, color and clarity.

blueniles also offer the option to build your own 5 stone rings. If I go with the smallest diamonds they offer: 0.3 ct per diamond, I, IF, ideal cut, no FL, for the same setting it works out to be 4600.

My question for this size of the diamonds, does it really matter the cut? Should I just go with the pre-set?

Thanks,

Yes the cut matters, and no you don't need IF clarity (IMO not worth the premium especially paired with an I color)

If I wanted all same size stones, I would buy from Whiteflash in a heartbeat.
