Hi all! Thank you SO much for the help I received giving my now-fiancé direction on diamonds.
I started out wanting an oval or a round in a G color or higher, and got great guidance here.
However, when my sister told me she dreamt of my getting engaged with a cushion set in yellow gold, only a few days later a beautiful Single Stone old mine cut in a local jewelry store grabbed my attention. The antique charm GOT ME. After trying it on, I knew I HAD to have an old mine of my own set by Caysie.
My fiancé then chose for me a 5.02 K SI1 old mine from jewels by grace.
I always thought I’d get a simple 4 prong solitaire in a Leon Mege type setting but ended up asking for two round side stones on each side outlined in a pear shape.
Keeping a simple basket was important to me and I’m so thankful Caysie was fine going less ornate than she usually does. She added a surprise extremely subtle texture/miligrain to the top part of the horizontal part of the basket and it was the perfect minimal detail.
