Hi everyone
My husband and I recently celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary and we decided to go all out
We took it easy on gifts for the previous years knowing that we wanted to get something bigger for the 5 year anni. This worked well for me because I've wanted a 'big' eternity band for a while and this was finally the occasion to get it!
I had quotes from IDJ and ERD and while both were fantastic, I decided to work with Mark because I had a good relationship with him already (he made my engagement ring and wedding bands) and I trusted his eye.
I asked for a custom basket setting that was low set with super sparkly diamonds
The end result is gorgeous IMO...I couldn't be happier with the diamonds in particular. They are gorgeous and totally out sparkly my engagement ring!!
The setting is beautiful - it isn't as low as I had hoped, but Mark said it couldn't be done given my finger size and the size of the stones (30 pointers). He said I'd have to lose a stone and that the basket would have to be thicker to make it work. I didn't appreciate that losing a stone wouldn't change the overall look (tcw isn't what matters in eternity bands - the size of each stone is!) so I said I wanted to keep the tcw as it was and I'd deal with it being a tad higher.
Since it was our "wood" anniversary, my husband made a cute wooden box for it!!
Anyways ....here goes. 4.96 tcw of excellent cut, RB diamonds (G/H, VS clarity), all hand picked by Mark Turnowski at ERD. White gold basket setting in size 6.5 (I'm a 6 normally but wanted some extra space in case my fingers swell, if I gain weight, etc).
