So I have been holding out on PS for a few months with my aqua

Specs from Jeff
Aquamarine
4.80cts
9.6 x 9.6
Nigeria

And of course my photos don't want to load now. I will try reloading them in a different format....check back soon for photos!

Sarahbear, I'm telling the moderators on you! You are not allowed to taunt us! You can't come here and tell us you have a huge and beautiful stone, cut by one of the best cutters, that you've had for several months and not bothered to share, and then tell us it won't load! :o As I say to my furry baby, "BAD GIRL!"

Tease.

Was it Bright Ice's stone previously?

Not fair to tease!!!!! :nono: :nono: :nono:

*sob!* I want to see shiny!! :)

Geez, I came back to read my post and it sounds awfully rude. That's what I get for these quick post and run style I have lately. My apologies. I am, of course, interested in seeing the aqua, especially since it is a JW stone AND an antique cut design. It's just that I recall Bright Ice sold a good sized JW aqua not long ago and thought it was a pretty stone, wondering if perhaps, you purchased it.

Just saw your post in BI's thread that this is a brand spanking new aqua! You can effectively ignore my previous question. BUT, you don't get off the hook for not only hold back on us for MONTHS, but there's still no pictures. :nono:

ok let's try this again. I took nicer glamour shots but they don't want to load so here are some quick ones in my dark office. Not as nice but at least you can see some eye candy!

No I comissioned mine straight from Jeff- though it was around the same time. I think Bright Ice's is more of a medium color. I wanted something a bit more paler. I plan on setting it in a art deco ring so something soft and pastel really appealed to me.

More pictures!

Ok the pictures dont' show the lovely pastel color at all. It looks really washed out in my office in the dark. I wish I could figure out why my first pictures won't load. The color is very similar to a Tiffany Box- A soft blue with a hint of green.

Here are some outdoor in the shade pictures which are a bit better.

Mine was 5.6ct and 10.2 x 10.2.

Sarahbear it's beautiful!

Love that cut, beautiful stone! That is going to be a seriously honkin' ring. :naughty:

gorgeous stone!!!!!!

OMG!!! That stone's to die for! :lickout: Please keep us updated with photos as your project progresses!

Wow, Jeff cuts some mean stones, doesn't he? I'm loving the profile view!

One of my favorite cuts! :lickout: What are your plans for it?

Gorgeous stone, sarahbear! Thanks for posting so many - it looks beautiful in all of your shots! I love aquamarine, especially if it's more of the Tiffany blue colour - that will be awesome when set! Vintage / art deco - is that the look you are going for? It will be a stunner when its finally set!!!

Congrats on the new stone!

I love the cut! Who is the cutter, and will they recut a stone?

The lapidaries name is in the title of this thread, Jeff White, of JL White Gemstones. He is highly sought after, and does not cut someone else's stones, only his own rough that he sources. Your right, his cutting is exquisite - and award winning!

That is going to make one very impressive Deco ring. Please post it when it is set.

Oh yes, yes, yes! An art deco style that you will commission with that beautiful antique cushion. Oh Sigh...so happy. I will really look forward to seeing this one finished!

I know he has done recuts but that was a while ago. He has chosen the poorly cut stone himself and also accepted the customer's stone. He is always very busy though so I don't know if he'll cut outside stones anymore.

Gorgeous!!
