4.59 OEC - Yay or nay!

Um. That price is ridiculous for a setting.

That's what I thought. Hopefully that is not a sign that the seller is delusional!

Well, that price is ridiculous for THAT setting, fer sure. It's beautiful, but it's pretty straightforward. I saw a setting from LJN that was 3K up front a while ago that I adored and thought was worth it, retail ... But I passed because it had some pave, and I know I'm rough on my rings. Just found an estate one of the same quality without the fussiness for less than a third - it CAN be done. Would buying the stone separate be an option? If it was, would you want to, or are you in love with it?

My stone is much smaller at 2.52 carats, but has similar proportions - 54% table, 60ish depth. The lower girdle halves are much longer than yours, but the outline of the stone is actually very nicely high- crowned to my eye: it still has that "ring pop" feel. I am looking forward to additional pics ....

I was never really considering the setting...just the stone. I think it's pretty but at $4500 I feel like I could do much better or get something similar for much less. So, no...not in love with the setting. I am falling a little bit in love with the diamond...crap pictures and all. But, I am being a good girl and staying aloof...keeping my cool. :Up_to_something:

Your stone is lovely! I LOVE the flouro...unfortunately this one doesn't have any. But you can't have it all I guess! Well, you can but you have to be patient and I am NOT!
