There has been a thread lately asking about the comfort of bottomless rings. The concern being that if your finger swells that it will swell into the open part under the diamond and pinch or feel uncomfortable. You have that beautiful James Allen/Danhov ER. Plus you had an unfortunate accident that has left your finger swollen. Have you had any issues with your finger swelling into the open part under your center stone?

Forgive me for taking so LONG! We went away for vacation, then summer ended and school began (I am a teacher.) I have been away from PS for far too long!

My beautiful ring (I am still totally in LOVE with it.) Is actually way to big for my finger still. In March I will have it resized (post surgery I''ve been told it takes about a year to find your actual size.)

So, it glides over my knuckle, then swings a bit. So, swelling hasn''t been a problem at all (I actually wear a bandade over my knuckle because I''m afraid I''ll lose it.)

But honestly, I''ll have to check out the thread. I cannot imagine it REALLY being uncomfortable. There''s a space provided in the setting that goes up, so the cutlet isn''t digging into your finger at all. When I pull the setting tight against my finger, there is still space for the cutlet, so it wouldn''t really EVER dig.

I honestly gaze at my ring still. I am SO in love with it. I have NO regrets! (except that maybe I should have waited until my finger totally was unswelled so that the size would be right.)

thank you and welcome back!!! It is sooooooooooo beautiful. Sorry your finger is still having issues. Hopefully after the years time is up it will be back to normal.

Now that I"m back I''m a bit worried! For once in my life I was satisfied! PS has a bad habit of making me want more!
Hope everything is as wonderful as it was when I left on vacation.

Guess I need to come back soon anyhow, got to work on fixing my broken eternity band, and making it fit my ever so large ring finger!

Ahhhhhh, projects! hurray!
