Hi everyone

This question is only out of interest. I don't intend to buy this stone (nor could I afford it). The ring comes up at an auction. The stone is GIA certified. Here is the report: https://www.gia.edu/report-check?reportno=5171487765&s=1592211430052
The estimate is between (ca.) USD 98'000 and 157'000, which I think is incredibly high. I know there are various reasons for estimates so and so high or low, but I was wondering what, according to the GIA report, could make the ring (stone) so expensive.

Thank you :)

High color, high clarity

It does seem to have a very high colour, especially compared to other OECs. I still consider the price extremely high and wonder if and for what it will go.

A RB 4-4.1ct on Bluenile runs between $128k-$147k, so the estimate's probably in line. But I don't think it'll go anywhere near the low end though, considering there's the buyer's premium. It also seems like a leaky, spready stone. eta: yikes, i found it, and it's super leaky. looks like someone punched a hole in it!
