Hello PS,

Its been awhile since I posted.

I have a .35 OEC in a YG basket pendant setting. I purchased it on ebay a few years ago. It did not include a GIA/EGL certificate, but I took it into a jeweler and they said that the color was K-L and the clarity was VS1-VVS1.

My goal was to reset the diamond in a bezel pendant, but since some time has passed and I have my eye on a different stone I would like to sell the OEC but am not sure what I should list as the asking price???

Would it be cost effective to get the diamond certified considering the size???

Any input appreciated:)

Thanks
LM

No, I wouldn't get it certified. .35 I think around the $200-250 area.

Thanks heraanderson!!!

Anyone else?

I just saw it was a set piece rather than a loose stone. I'm thinking you could try closer to $250-275.

Yup this pricing sounds pretty spot on for the 2nd market. Pending on what the pendent looks like you might be able to charge a little more but I doubt it as ppl are probably buying the pendant for the diamond and will just scrap the setting.

I do not recommend that you get a certificate for a diamond that size and price point for resale

(diamonds are not certified by the way :)) ).
