Thank you all for your help, I'm attaching some more photos now that I have the ring.

It's marked 14k P.B. Does this mean it's made out of lead?!

I just got it back after having it resized (and polished) by my jeweler.

Tyty, I plan to keep it as-is for now, but I'm open to suggestions! When I bought it I thought it'd be too small to do anything with, I'm surprised how big it is! Right now I'm wearing it stacked with two sterling rings.

Will wearing it (14k) up against sterling damage it?

Silver is soft, and picks up grit easily, and becomes an abrasive surface like plat. - over time you will see the effects of the silver wearing the gold away.

Thanks Yssie, but rats! I want to take good care of it, since it's made it this far in decent shape. So I should wear it alone? The ring I'm wearing next to it is 1.5 sizes larger and overlaps it in the back (not on purpose, but that's what keeps happening).

I wouldn't wear it with the silver

Could you get a 14k band to wear it with? Different alloys is a much less damaging prospectus than different species

Thanks Yssie! That'll give me something to shop for I guess. Would white (or rose?) gold be ok?

ETA: Does it have to be 14k (like the ring I'm trying to protect also?)
