My setting is a Stuller setting. We have a friend who is a jeweler and he put it together in his basement, lol. I told him what I wanted in a setting and stones and he did the rest, so I am not sure which Stuller setting it is. It is only about 2 years old so I am sure that it is still available.

Ok. I am so in trouble now. Temptation had gotten into me. Eventhough our online jeweler is in the middle of making our ring as ordered, FI and I went around to B&M stores just to see how it would look like. I saw a 0.70ct with two side stones, looks good too. Now, I was wondering if I should change the 0.50ct to 0.70ct as the center stone. What do you girls think?

If we do change the stone from 0.50ct to 0.70ct, we would have to add approx. $1,600.- to our budget. Is it worth it? The evil side said go for it and the good side said that the combination of 0.25+0.50+0.25 is a good start. Worst thing is my FI leave it up to me since he said I''m the one thats going to wear it.

Help?
Any thoughts?

P.S. The 0.50ct is D, SI1, ideal cut and the 0.70ct is D, SI1, ideal cut also.

noneek,

You just have to figure out what you would like proportion wise. Of course if you go with the .70ct the .25 sides will look smaller than if you do the .50ct in the center. It''s really up to you!

Of course if you asked me I would go with the .70ct just because I like bigger diamonds! :)

If I could afford it I would go with the bigger stone.

I would go with the bigger stone but lower to color to F or G to save the 1600.. win win IMHO, since you won''t notice the color difference when it is set.

hi noneek :)

as Diamond*Dana could tell you, her ring is my favorite on all the rings on pricescope. but you have to take into account the proportions on your finger. what size is your finger? and Dana - what size is your finger? if you have the same size finger, then you have a good chance of the same ring making the same impact on your finger, noneek.

i love 25/50/25 - but you need hands like Dana''s for it to look as good.

so - ladies - finger sizes please?

Hi Whitby, good to hear from you. I love your new set as well. I will use my three stone ring with a band like yours minus the milgrain. Nothing against it on my side but FI like it to be just plain. My finger size is 5.
I love Diamond Dana''s three stone ring as well. Hope to hear from her soon.

My finger is a 5.5
Hi Diamond Dana,
Thank you for your response.
So, if your finger is 5.5 and 0.27/0.5/0.27 give a good coverage on you, then I would assume that my 0.25/0.51/0.25 will also give a good coverage of my size 5 finger.
Any thoughts?

noneek,

Since you are a size 5 and Diamond Dana is a 5.5 those proportions are going to look very similar on you! Wow, can''t wait to see what you get!

hi girls!

noneek - i think you''re really onto something here! if your finger is basically the same size as dana''s (who has gorgeous hands, i must say!) then your ring is going to look GREAT!

and you SHOULD be excited! this will be a wonderful ring you can always be proud of.

good luck!

Thanks, Whitby!!! You are so sweet. I will definitely post more info when the ring is done. I have Diamond_Dana''s ring saved in my computer file just to take a look at sometimes when I want to see my work-in-progress ring. I hope Diamond_Dana doesn''t mind. Her hand is so smooth, I must say too.

Most importantly is that FI and I picked the ring together so we both have our paws in it. Of course then he is the one who writes the check
hehehe...
